Why The "Its Never Too Late" Attitude Is Essential For Your Success.

The last blog post I wrote was on the 16th October 2013....  2013!!!

That wasn't the plan. You see, I was going to blog weekly, share stories, share behind the scenes info & photos, connect with others, write witty & intelligent comments on other blogs, basically, create a gorgeous, huge, online community of similar, fun, yoga loving, travel loving, party loving peeps.  But.... it didn't quite go to plan.

The truth is, 2014 was not a good year & the last thing I felt like doing was sitting down & writing a blog post about it all.  But when I finally did want to start again, I'd convinced myself that it was too late.  It was too late because people didn't want to hear from me any more, people didn't care about ethical fashion & the treasures I'd found & was so excited about.  I didn't grab the bull by the horns when journalists wanted to write about my story, I couldn't keep up with demand when shops wanted to stock my designs, I shied away from promoting my brand & didn't have the energy to keep up with the dream  I had worked so tirelessly to create.  Basically, I'd f***ed it up & I'd missed the boat. IMG_1902

But, you know what (& I don't say this lightly, it's taken me 19 months to get here)..... It is NEVER TOO LATE to start over.  Never!  I've got my sparkle back, which means Marzipants has finally got it's sparkle back & we're ready to shout about it.  I've escaped all the crap, moved on & feel as fresh & as invigorated about Marzipants than ever before!

I spent the first few months of this year in India meeting new craftsmen, making contact with new workshops, designing a new jewellery & yoga bag collection.  I've been speaking to yoga teachers, I've deepened my own yoga & meditation practice. There are so many new items I want to shout about & so much exciting stuff about to happen, but more of that in my next post.  (Or if you really can't wait you can see a few ethical yoga treasures here.)

I guess what I want to say, is that it really never is too late.  If your passionate about something, if you believe in something, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to get there, it doesn't matter how long you've been putting it off, it doesn't matter what's standing in your way.  All that matters is finally doing it, in whatever small or tiny way that is, but doing something about it today.

Have you battled with similar problems or setbacks? Is there anything you've been putting off, something you've been wanting to do for ages?  Anything you're now going to make a step to start doing?  I'd love to hear from you, so please share below. Big love, Maree x
