[caption id="attachment_659" align="aligncenter" width="205"]Ashok who makes Marzipants Thai Fisherman trousers Ashok, who runs the Marzipants workshop in India[/caption] I had a lovely chat with Ashok this morning about our summer range, which is currently in production.  The area where he lives & works is in a poor, rural part of India, where many of the local people rely on the land to make a living.  Things have been hard in this part of India recently, mainly due to exceptionally high temperatures & continued drought. [caption id="attachment_660" align="aligncenter" width="300"]Yoga pants, Marzipants, Thai Fisherman Trousers by Marzipants Some of the team who make the Marzipants at our fair trade workshop in India[/caption] But Ashok told me today that he's now able to employ 30 women at his factory (3 more than he employed last year).  This is partly due to the continued orders & supports he gets from Marzipants, which are only possible through all your purchases and support.  So from me & from Ashok, a VERY, VERY big thank you!
